With the break of the F.A. cup over, it is worth looking back on matchday 22. Liverpool were able to edge Burnley, who have been dropping down as of late. Manchester United were able to top Everton, who have been losing the form they had since Big Sam joined. Crystal Palace were able to climb the table and continue on with their pleasant stretch. David Moyes’ West Ham squad have been getting results and climbing away from relegation. The marque match from the matchday was one of the most entertaining match of the season, with Arsenal getting a late tying goal against Chelsea.

Matchday 23 offers some interesting matches, with teams trying to bounce back from the festive period and FA cup action.

Manchester City vs Liverpool

Tottenham vs Everton

Everton (7-6-9) are visiting Tottenham (12-5-5). The form is favouring the home team Tottenham (LWWWD) over the visitors Everton (WDDLL). Last matchday had Tottenham draw against West Ham 1-1. While Everton lost to Manchester United 2-0.

What to watch for

What to watch for

  • West Ham last match were able to nick a point at Tottenham and looked good defensively
  • Depoitre is Huddersfield’s top scorer and will look to be a danger on the pitch
  • West Ham are unsure about Carroll, Antonio and Reid with Collins, Cresswell and Arnautovic back in trainin
  • Mooy has also been important to Huddersfield’s campaign this season and again will be important if they look to get a win
  • West Ham won the reverse fixture 2-0 in September

Other things to watch for around the league

  • Manchester United are hosting Stoke City who are managerless after a disappointment in the FA cup

  • Burnley have had rough form as of late while Crystal Palace have been playing well.
