CALGARY, AB: While Calgary wrestling fans will have to wait a bit longer for the return of Shawn Spears, the latest announcement from the PWA will certainly give them an even better chance to be part of the action.

Tonight, the Prairie Wrestling Alliance confirmed that Saturday’s main event for PWA Remembrance would now be a fatal four-way matchup pitting Jack Pride, Brandon Van Danielson and Michael Richard Blais against PWA Heavyweight Champion Michael Allen Richard Clark. In an additional note, the promotion also announced that Saturday’s tilt would feature a “Fans Bring the Weapons” stipulation.

The announcement comes following the unfortunate news that PWA Commonwealth Champion Shawn Spears would be unable to make his scheduled title defence due to injuries sustained during last week’s AEW Full Gear and Dynamite tapings.

“I was looking forward to wrestling Shawn Spears, and it sucks that he had to cancel due to injury. I wish a speedy recovery to him and maybe, one day we’ll get that match,” commented Blais upon the matches announcement. “That doesn’t change the fact tomorrow is going to be a special show, though. It looks like I’m fighting for the PWA Title now, and it looks like PWA has decided to make it Fans Bring the Weapons. It makes sense - what better way to make up for this at the last minute than to let you guys truly become a part of the show? I hope it’s enough, I hope everyone shows up ready to go wild because I’m coming full bore and all I can promise is what I always do…I. DO. NOT. DISAPPOINT!”

Tickets for PWA Remembrance are still available in limited supply through Sammy’s World’s Greatest Pizza (11440 Braeside Drive SW) or Swigs Pub & Grill 11213 - 30 Street SW or the Cedarbrae Community Centre (11024 Oakfield Drive SW).
