Some have claimed 2018 to be one of the greatest years ever in professional wrestling, and you’d be hard-pressed to find anyone who would disagree. It was an incredible year for both major and independent promotions worldwide. It was a year that featured one of the largest independent events in North American history, countless outstanding matches and over $2 billion dollars in sweet, sweet dollar bills sent Vince McMahon’s way for the rights to air RAW and Smackdown! Live.
At the end of the day, however, wrestling is all about the individuals who choose to set foot inside the ring. They’re the difference between what makes sports entertainment a traditional television show and, well, WRESTLING. The men and women that put their bodies on the line each and every night for our entertainment are what drive the industry, and there were certainly some incredible performances throughout 2018. Through a rigorous voting process, arguments and a few tears, the Win Column Sports panel have made their picks for the top wrestlers of 2018!
