#6 - Shinsuke Nakamura

Upon coming up after WrestleMania, the future looked bright for Shinsuke Nakamura. Fast forward to SummerSlam time and Shinsuke defeated John Cena to become the Number One Contender to the WWE Championship! GREAT! Nakamura is challenging for the biggest prize at one of the Big Four Pay Per Views! Unfortunately, he had to face Jinder Mahal for that championship. With Shinsuke having limited mic time due to the language barrier, it was very hard to sell this feud and he was lost in the shuffle in the following months.

Shinsuke could be the quickest superstar to fall off of this list with his recent Royal Rumble victory. Here’s to hoping that he gets to work a great heel in the months after WrestleMania to elevate him in the eyes of the casual fan.

Once stood in front of Cedric Alexander in line at a hotel. Slightly big deal.
