EDMONTON, AB - London’s proverbially come calling for one of Canada’s premier independent wrestlers.

It was confirmed this morning that former PWA Champion Michael Richard Blais, one-half of the duo known as the Western Lions, will be heading across the pond July 17th to make his debut appearances in the United Kingdom. In a release this morning from the man himself, Blais confirmed that he’d be appearing for the World Association of Wrestling, the Norwich-based promotion run by the legendary Knight family. Earlier this year, the promotion was featured in the critically-acclaimed Fighting with my Family, a documentary based on the life of WWE Superstar Paige.

“(I’m) looking forward to this opportunity to work with the legendary Knight family & compete with the very best stars of the World Association of Wrestling,” said Blais in his aformentioned release. “All while showing that I am BETTER THAN THE BEST to a whole new country! (It’s) gonna be a good summer! I. DO. NOT. DISAPPOINT!”

The United Kingdom debut marks yet another highlight in Blais’ 2019. Thus far, MRB has already provided a number of death-defying highlights for Albertan wrestling fans, including a pair of manoeuvres that attracted international attention from the likes of Cody Rhodes and Joey Janela. In fact, it was the latter who booked Blais on his flagship Spring Break show this year.

No confirmation has yet been made thus far on Blais opponent(s) for the United Kingdom swing.
