Weekly wrestling is back in Calgary.

Following last week’s announcement of weekly Edmonton shows at the Norwood Legion, Real Canadian Wrestling has confirmed they will also begin running every Friday night in Calgary. As we first reported in September 2019, the promotion is set to run weekly in their current venue, the Royal Canadian Legion #1.

“This is a big move for RCW to bring weekly events to Calgary, but its well-known RCW is all about entertaining the great wrestling fans in Alberta,” said Real Canadian Wrestling promoter Steven Ewaschuk.

“So, we will do just that and bring back something that no other company has been able to do or tried to do in Calgary since the glory days of Stampede Wrestling, and that’s weekly live (events) every Friday night in the Stampede City.”

Last Friday marked the promotion’s return to Calgary for the first time since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic. As with all events for the foreseeable future, all upcoming events in both Calgary and Edmonton will be following social distancing protocols with a maximum of 100 tickets available.

Tickets for all upcoming RCW shows can be purchased through the promotion’s social media platforms or the Real Canadian Wrestling Eventbrite page.
