EDMONTON, AB: 2020 is set to kick off with a bang for fans of Real Canadian Wrestling.
Early Tuesday, RCW announced a pair of appearances from Ring of Honor star Silas Young and Impact wrestler Ace Austin in the new year.
Both men are scheduled to be part of RCW’s inaugural events of 2020, with the first taking place in Calgary on January 3rd, with a second date taking place the next evening - January 4th - in Edmonton.
There’s a reason that Young is known as “The Last Real Man.” Over the course of his nearly 18-year career, Young has come to be known as one of the hardest-hitting individuals in professional wrestling. Few individuals in the business can match his unique blend of brute strength and in-ring savvy; it’s a combination that’s earned him two reigns as ROH World Television Championship, an equal amount of AAW Heavyweight Championships, and a number of selections to the yearly PWI500.
Austin, the current Impact Wrestling X-Division Champion, has made an incredible mark on the professional wrestling scene in his relatively limited time in the industry. At only 22-years old, Austin has already earned a reputation as one of the top high-flyers in wrestling today. Both his fearlessness and athleticism are jaw-dropping, especially when considering that the former CZW standout has just under five years of in-ring experience.
While matches are still being confirmed, Real Canadian Wrestling has already announced that Young will be challenging RCW Canadian Heavyweight Champion Heavy Metal for his title on January 3rd in Calgary.
Tickets for both RCW Retribution (Calgary) and RCW Unleashed (Edmonton) will be available at noon on Tuesday, December 10th on the promotion’s Showpass page.
Stay tuned to the WCSN for more on the duo’s appearances.
