Out of the tag teams drafted to the main roster, American Alpha was the most criminally misused.
Their matches against the Revival preceded the DIY/Revival trilogy of last year, and boosted both teams to the NXT Tag Titles - along with reviving tag wrestling on both NXT and the main roster. Their promotion to SmackDown Live! in 2016 was heavily anticipated, though their run didn’t amount to much. Gable and Jordan won the Smackdown Tag Titles - dropping them to the Usos after 3 months. And let’s be honest - both have moved on to better things. Jason Jordan found out he was Kurt Angle’s son. Chad Gable is teaming with Shelton Benjamin. It may not be much, but it’s better then their incredibly disappointing initial tag run.
