The Canadian Elite Basketball League announced earlier Tuesday that New Era Cap Co., Inc. will be the Official On-Court Partner of the Canadian Elite Basketball League and its teams. The partnership will cover jerseys, on-court apparel and headwear. Fans will be able to purchase Stingers merchandise starting today on the clubs official website.
“The Edmonton Stingers logo has proven to be very popular with basketball enthusiasts across our region, and with the power of the New Era brand behind it fans will be able to enjoy wearing our Blue and Gold on high-quality polos, t-shirts, caps, and other apparel,” said Edmonton President Lee Genier in a statement released by the league
“New Era is one of the most recognized sports apparel brands in the world, and the partnership forged by league CEO Mike Morreale and New Era speaks to the stature of the CEBL and its commitment to delivering exceptional quality as part of the fan experience.”
The partnership between New Era and the CEBL is the first of it’s kind, as Managing Director of Canada Rick Baetz pointed out. “This is the first time New Era Cap will be featured on a basketball court with uniforms and sideline apparel in addition to our line of fan gear and headwear that blends sports with lifestyle,”
The Edmonton Stingers will unveil jerseys next spring and will debut them on the court in their home opener on Friday, May 10 against the Niagara River Lions at the Edmonton EXPO Centre. Season tickets are still available for the Stingers, you can purchase them now by telephone at (780) 613-4532 or at www.thestingers.ca.
