Money in the Bank is among the most exciting PPV’s the WWE hosts every year, due much in part to the titular match. The Money in the Bank Briefcase has been the tool that’s pushed people into the main event like Edge, CM Punk, Seth Rollins, and Daniel Bryan. Which male and female superstars will earn an automatic title shot? Who will walk away WWE Champion by the end of the night? Will anyone remember the feud between Bobby Lashley and Sami Zayn after this? Is anyone even listening to me?
We really need to stop watching so many movies.
With a mostly exciting card, the writers at Win Column Sports make their predictions on the outcomes of these matches! Be sure to follow us on Twitter and Facebook for all the latest WWE & more!

Predictions
Bobby Lashley vs. Sami Zayn
Parker: Everyone is worse off after this rivalry. Just get it over with quickly. Zayn deserves more. Unfortunately, despite deserving more - Vince McMahon loves his big guys. Prediction: Bobby Lashley.
Prince: The worst feud of 2018 so far and one of the worst feuds I’ve seen in a while. I hope we get a semi decent match out of it but there’s been 0 chemistry between these two so far and I expect the same for the match. Prediction: Bobby Lashley.
Spencer: I’d rather be forced to carry waterlogged bags of sand many, many miles than be forced to put up with more of this feud. I don’t care who wins, I just want it to end. Prediction: Bobby Lashley
Roman Reigns vs Jinder Mahal
Parker: At least the two I don’t care to predict are out of the way. Seriously, I think Reigns is an extremely talented wrestler. But who in their right mind thinks that people will enjoy this match in god damn Chicago? And who thinks this will get Reigns cheered on his way to a Summerslam rematch with Brock Lesnar? What a piss break match. Prediction: Roman Reigns overcomes the odds yet again!
Prince: This match will probably get more crapped on than Lashley/Zayn and that is saying a lot. Reigns will probably go over here in a feud that no one asked for. I really wonder what the RAW creative has been thinking lately. Prediction: Roman Reigns
Spencer: While personally not that excited for the in-ring portion of this match, I’m certainly excited to get to listen to a hot Chicago crowd’s reaction to these two men in the same place at the same time. Prediction: Roman Reigns
Daniel Bryan vs Big Cass
Parker: Make that three feuds I don’t care about. Literally the only thing we learned was that Cass is tall. Thats literally his entire character in a nutshell. He’s tall. Cmon, WWE. Regardless, Cass needs the win more then Bryan. Note: This is my last pessimistic prediction. Prediction: Big Cass
Prince: Parker and I share the same sentiment for these first three matches. Horrible feuds that will probably result in horrible matches. The crowd will at least be hot for Bryan unlike the individuals involved in the previous two matches so there’s that but as Parker mentions above, Big Cass really needs this win. Prediction: Big Cass
Spencer: There were many potential dream matches left on the table when Daniel Bryan retired. A match with Big Cass was not one of them. However, WWE’s decided to treat us to not one, but two editions of this classic matchup; here’s to hoping that Cass ends up with a guest spot on Enzo’s next rap single, and not with another match in the WWE. Prediction: Daniel Bryan
Smackdown Tag Team Championships: Bludgeon Brothers (C) vs. Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson
Parker: I do love myself some Good Brothers, and I am happy to see them prominently featured on Smackdown already. That being said, WWE has build Rowan and Harper into unstoppable forces, walking over The New Day & The Usos at ‘Mania along with countless other squashes. 2B probably isn’t going to lose to Gallows & Anderson, sadly. Prediction: Bludgeon Brothers retain.
Prince: Gallows & Anderson look like they are in the best shapes of their life and have found a more prominent role on Smackdown. I am happy for them because they are extremely talented and deserve the opportunity to showcase their skills. Unfortunately, 2B have been booked too strong for this to be a competitive match. Prediction: Bludgeon Brothers retain.
Spencer: 2B, or not 2B? That is the question. I’ve been underwhelmed with the Bludgeon Brothers title reign so far, and as a fan of the Good Brothers since day one(ish) I’d love to see them pick up their first Smackdown Tag Team Championships. However, I don’t believe that WWE is ready to pull chute on the former Wyatt’s, and expect them to pick up a win on Sunday. Prediction: Bludgeon Brothers
RAW Tag Team Championships - The Deleters of Worlds (C) vs. The B-Team (Bo Dallas & Curtis Axel)
Parker: Who thought that this would be a match people are pumped for? Dallas and Axel have wildly exceeded any expectations since breaking away from the Miztourage. So much so, they’re being given a prominent spot on the card against arguably the most entertaining part of RAW? Will they win the titles? Unlikely. But these guys deserve a standing ovation. Prediction: The Deleters of Worlds retain.
Prince: The B-Team have been on a roll since their formation and it’s nice to see Dallas and Axel get some spotlight because these two have made any gimmick thrown at their way work. I think separating them from The Miz has been a blessing, and has allowed them to find their own groove and niche. I’m excited for this match-up as both teams will put on an entertaining bout, that’s sure to give the crowd a couple chuckles. Prediction: The Deleters of Worlds retain.
Spencer: The B-Team have been the best part of either tag team division for the past three weeks; however, I don’t think that gives them a win at Money in the Bank. WWE still needs to establish Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt as champions, and a victory in their first championship defence is exactly what they need. Prediction: Deleters of Worlds
Intercontinental Championship - Seth Rollins (C) vs Elias
Parker: Seth Rollins is white hot right now. Putting on fantastic matches with whoever steps up, he has made the Intercontinental Championship the top belt in WWE right now (Sorry AJ). And while Elias has been extremely entertaining since joining the main roster, I just don’t think it’s time to take the title of Rollins. Keep the IC Belt on Rollins for a marquee match at Summerslam. Prediction: Seth Rollins retains
Prince: Seth Rollins is the best part of Raw right now and it’s been that way for a while. He’s really clicking as a babyface and his in ring work has been top notch. Elias has also been great since his call up to the main roster and I feel like these two will have great chemistry. I really want Rollins to lose so he can move up and be the one to dethrone the beast, but knowing WWE they will probably go with Roman vs. Lesnar again for SS. Seth Rollins wins and goes into a marquee feud into Summerslam. Preidiction: Seth Rollins retains.
Spencer: For me, this match truly sets up Brock Lesnar’s next challenger. If Rollins retains here, expect a lengthly championship reign with the Intercontinental Championship and a future feud with either Jason Jordan or Dean Ambrose. However, should Rollins lose here, I don’t see there being anywhere to go but up. While I expect a Rollins victory, I won’t be upset with a loss - it’ll lead directly to a clash with The Beast at SummerSlam. Prediction: Seth Rollins
Women’s Ladder Match - Becky Lynch vs. Alexa Bliss vs. Sasha Banks vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Natalya vs. Lana vs. Naomi vs. Ember Moon
Parker: This one is really up in the air to me. Charlotte doesn’t need the briefcase to enter the championship scene. Alexa Bliss needs time away from the championship scene after nearly two years. I don’t think Lana is ready to be in this kind of match, yet alone hold the title. Naomi’s title reign was extremely underwhelming. Ember Moon needs some more time to establish herself. To me, this is between Natalya, Becky and Sasha. Nattie seems to have a ready made program with Ronda - who may very well win the belt this same night. Sasha losing here could be a stellar catalyst for a heel turn. And Becky needs a boost to get her back into title contention. My heart says Becky, but I don’t think they’d keep both briefcases on Smackdown. So, my mind says… Prediction: Natayla becomes Ms. Money in the Bank.
Prince: Go read Spencer’s article about this. Carmella won last year because MITB is always intended for an individual to skyrocket their career, and given the participants in this match, I think Lana needs it the most. Prediction: Lana
Spencer: I stand by my writing, dammit. Prediction: Lana
Mens Ladder Match - Kevin Owens vs. Finn Bálor vs. Braun Strowman vs. Bobby Roode vs. Samoa Joe vs. A TBD member of The New Day vs. The Miz vs. Rusev
Parker: This is the most interesting ladder match in years. Almost any of the guys here could win it, and I would absolutely love it - I mean, other than a babyface Bobby Roode. Sorry, Robert. Can you deny how entertaining it would be to have the New Day carrying around the briefcase? Can you imagine Samoa Joe terrorizing whoever the current champion may be when he wants to cash in? Kevin Owens always is a favourite of mine, and Finn or Braun could be amazing TV. My heart wants Joe to win here. However, the most realistic pick for me it the Awesome One. The Miz deserves to be in the main event scene again; he has produced with almost every opponent, and a feud between Miz and Daniel Bryan has long burned. Making it over the WWE Championship would just be too sweet. Prediction: The Miz becomes the third two-time Money in the Bank winner.
Side Prediction: Big E is the New Day member in the match.
Prince: Parker and Spencer talk about how this match will set up the long awaited feud between The Miz and Daniel Bryan, and while I’m all for it to happen, I don’t think they need the WWE championship to push that narrative. I think The Miz winning is the safest route to make feud happen, but I would LOVE to see Rusev and Lana as Mr. and Mrs. Money In the Bank. I think it’s the perfect time to capitalize on it and push the both of them (alongside Aiden English) as faces. Prediction: Rusev
Side Prediction: Xavier Woods is the New Day member in the match.
Spencer: I’m not going to ramble here; while I would especially love to see a Samoa Joe or Rusev victory here, my gut feeling is that the Miz will walk away as Mr. Money in the Bank on Sunday, leading long-term to a cash-in on Daniel Bryan and a dream feud over the title heading into WrestleMania. Prediction: The Miz
Side Prediction: Kofi Kingston is the New Day member in the match.
RAW Women’s Championship - Nia Jax (C) vs Ronda Rousey
Parker: Ok. Ronda has exactly one win in WWE. I get she’s a special attraction, but it’s not like there’s a lack of great performers who could have stepped up to Nia. On the topic of Nia, her character has gone completely 180 from her “Be A Star” persona. What is she supposed to be? Heel? Tweener? Face? I literally can’t tell at all. I have no idea how they’ll book this - do they put the belt on an unproven Ronda Rousey? Or do they hand her a screwy loss here? This one is confusing. Prediction: Ronda Rousey wins, but by DQ to set up a rematch at Summerslam.
Prince: WWE is about to go 100% on Ronda Rousey and I am not against that at all. She’s about to get inducted into the UFC hall of fame, and what a better way to promote WWE by having Ronda taking the RAW Women’s championship with her. Nia Jax has been hit with some confusing booking as she was a sympathetic babyface with Alexa Bliss and now she’s getting booked as a dominant force again. I don’t think it will hurt Nia too much in the long run if she takes the L here. Prediction: Ronda Rousey
Spencer: WWE have really booked themselves into a corner here; Rousey is still too fresh into her debut to afford to take a loss here. However, Jax has been painted as a dominant force in the women’s division - would a loss hinder that reputation? Personally, I still think that WWE is all in on Ronda Rousey, and for that reason I see her walking away from Money in the Bank as the new RAW Women’s Champion. Prediction: Ronda Rousey
Smackdown Live Women’s Championship - Carmella (C) vs Asuka
Parker: I do kind of want to see everyone freak out about Carmella beating both Charlotte & Asuka. However, unless there is a DQ, Asuka isn’t getting pinned here. Carmella has been great, but Asuka needs the momentum more. I can’t see ‘Mella holding onto the title here. Prediction: Asuka becomes the new Smackdown Women’s Champion.
Prince: There’s no way Carmella deserves the right to be the only women to defeat both Charlotte a& Asuka in single’s competition. I am a fan of Carmella, and I think she’s been doing great with her character, but Asuka losing here would really hurt her reputation. I think it’s time Asuka get’s her first championship on the main roster. Prediction: Asuka
Spencer: My heart says Carmella, my head says it’s ridiculous to think the Empress of Tomorrow could lose another singles match so soon after her first defeat. She failed in her first attempt: she won’t fail in her second. Prediction: Asuka
AJ Styles (C) vs Shinsuke Nakamura (Last Man Standing Match)
Parker: The heel turn of Shinsuke Nakamura has just made him that much more enjoyable. However, his feud with Styles has left a little bit to be desired. Having two consecutive non-finishes tends to do that. This does seem like a final chapter in their rivalry. While a Styles win here wouldn’t surprise me, I’d absolutely love to see the title go on Nak. His heel turn would really be for naught if nothing happened. I think if Nakamura doesn’t win the title here, it would forever damage his reputation on the main roster. The guy can carry a brand - his NXT Championship run was pretty stellar. Time to see if he can do the same as a heel. Plus, it would likely lead to a Daniel Bryan - Nakamura feud. Prediction: Shinsuke Nakamura becomes the new WWE Champion.
Prince: Nakamura has been great since his heel turn. Everything about his character just comes off more naturally now, and while this feud has been a bit underwhelming, I expect this match to be the best between the both of them. As Parker mentions above, Nakamura really needs the win to fully cement his heel turn and establish himself as the top heel for Smackdown Live. The only thing I worry about with that scenario is that AJ would get a mandatory rematch, unless someone gets involved and screws him over……. Maybe Cien Almas? I don’t know, but a Nakamura vs. Bryan title match at Summerslam sounds fantastic. Prediction: Shinksuke Nakamura
Spencer: Nearly a full year after it was first teased, the feud between AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura will likely come to a close on Sunday night. While the feud has been underwhelming at points, I expect a solid match out of the two, especially since they’re given few restraints given the stipulation of the match. While I feel like Nakamura winning would be the right move here, I feel as though Styles will somehow retain his championship on Sunday. Prediction: AJ Styles
