Two weeks removed from Summerslam, Ronda Rousey will make her in-ring television debut on Monday Night RAW. Only a week after having her suspension lifted, Rousey takes on grizzled veteran Alicia Fox in (probably) the main event of the evening. These two ladies have a lot to live up to, as last week’s RAW was capped off with a “hot, hot angle”. What else is going on tonight? Read on!

Last Week’s RAW

  • Roman Reigns runs down Brock Lesnar. Calls him a bitch. Screw you, Roman!
  • Constable Corbin def. Finn Balor
  • Alicia Fox def. Natalya
  • Elias viciously attacks Bobby Lashley
  • Jinder Mahal def. Mr. MITB Braun Strowman
  • Apollo Crews def. Akam
  • Seth Rollins def. Drew McIntyre via DQ
  • The Revival def. The Deleter of Worlds
  • Sasha Banks & Bayley def. The Riott Squad (Liv Morgan & Sarah Logan)
  • WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar shows up. Delivers an F5 to Kurt Angle. Chokes out Paul Heyman. Leaves to go finish American Hunstman.

This Week’s RAW

I have no problem admitting that Ronda Rousey possesses huge mainstream appeal. That is just a fact. I do have a problem with her taking away the main event from Bobby Roode and Mojo Rawley. Or should I say, future WWE Champion Mojo Rawley.

me=”Guy on DeviantArt” align=”alignnone” width=”1000″][/media-credit] Some guy on DeviantArt did this.
[/caption]After their intense locker room confrontation last week, the Glorious One and the nicknameless Mojo Rawley go head to head tonight. I foresee a crafty win from the Glorious One. I hope to god this doesn’t continue on until SummerSlam. Then again, what else is there for either guy to do?

On the other hand, Mr. Money in the Bank Braun Strowman has limitless options - if he can reclaim his Money in the Bank briefcase from Kevin Owens. A countout loss to the Jinder Mahal  last week demonstrated how easily Strowman could lose his guaranteed title shot come SummerSlam. That would suck big time, but if it can happen to Ken Kennedy, it can happen to anyone.

Roman Reigns must be upster after being treated like a little bitch by the RAW General Manager Kurt Angle. After all, he missed WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar choking out Paul Heyman! This power move fuels the rumours that Lesnar is on his way out of the WWE after his SummerSlam match.

WWE

Champion’s Corner

Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre beat down Seth Rollins not just once, but twice last week. After saving McIntyre from a near loss to Rollins, they followed up with a mid-interview ass-whooping, the likes of which I haven’t seen in years. Truly brutal. For months, I have been predicting that Jason Jordan would return to even the odds, and for months I have been wrong. Who knows where this will go.

RAW Tag Team Champions The B-Team should be anticipating an upcoming title defense against The Revival. Dash and Dawson have been on a roll, and a victory tonight should secure them a SummerSlam title opportunity.

RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss has her next title defense set in stone - a one-on-one match against Ronda Rousey. Animosity between the two has existed since Rousey arrived, but a deplorable sneak attack from the champion and grizzled veteran Alicia Fox last week stirred the pot. Rousey has all the momentum in the world behind her, and a win tonight is all but guaranteed.

That’s it from me, but what are your thoughts? Let us know on twitter @wincolumnsports, or in the comments below. See you next week.
