Another one bites the dust in Monster Pro Wrestling.
We can exclusively report that MPW Provincial Champion Kid Cyrus has left the promotion to join Real Canadian Wrestling.
Cyrus is scheduled to make his debut in Edmonton this Saturday.
Cyrus’ last match with Monster Pro Wrestling took place on March 7, 2020. That evening, he defeated “Dangerous” Danny Evans to successfully defend the Provincial title.
Thus far, there’s been no confirmation as to the status of the Provincial Championship.
Frankly, the move wasn’t entirely unexpected given that Cyrus had recently been working RCW’s recent weekly shows in Calgary. However, despite Cyrus’ recent appearances in YYC, we can also report that his MPW departure only became official earlier this week.
Thus far, the early returns on his move to RCW have been promising. Cyrus is 2-1 in his three matches since the promotion began running it’s weekly series of events, with his sole loss coming in a match against Heavy Metal for the Heavyweight Championship earlier this month.
Cyrus is just the latest to make the move from Monster Pro Wrestling to RCW. Since March, the likes of Quin Hawksley, KB6, and Nasty Nate Nixon have all crossed the proverbial pond for various reasons.
Tickets for both of RCW’s upcoming events can be purchased through contacting any of the promotion’s social media channels or directly through their Eventbrite page. Additional tickets will be available in limited supply at the door for an additional fee.
Stay tuned to the WCSN for more from the Canadian wrestling scene.
