EDMONTON, AB - The Edmonton Stingers announced a number of roster moves on Tuesday morning, signing Travis Daniels (PF) and Deondre Parks (G). The club also announced the release of Will Davis II (G) after three games with the organization.
The team also announced a number of CEBL draft picks had joined the organization.
The moves come following a 1-2 start to the Stingers tenure in the CEBL.
Daniels, 27, suited up last season for the Rethymno Cretan Kings of the GBL, averaging 8.8 PPG and 5 rebounds through his time in Greece. The Mississippi State graduate has also played for the Leons de Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic), the Balkan Botevgrad (Bulgaria), and the Phoenix Galati (Romania).
Parks, 26, last played for Proteas EKA of the Cypriot Basketball Division A league, where he led the league in scoring with 18.7 points-per-game. The point guard was also named a Cypriot League All-Star in the 2018 season. The Flint, Michigan native has also suited up for the Cactus Tbilisi (Georgia) and the Newcastle Eagles (England) through his professional career.
Both players are expected to suit up for the Stingers on Friday night, as the team looks to pull back to .500 against the Guelph Nighthawks.
Prior to his release, Davis II had averaged 4.3 points-per-game and 4 rebounds in three games this season.
