SASKATOON, SASKATCHEWAN - Are you ready for some CEBL Playoffs?
On Tuesday, the CEBL announced it will finish its inaugural season in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan for the first-ever CEBL Championship Weekend, to be held from August 22nd-25th. The event will consist of a knockout style semi-finals and finals, with the winner being crowned the first CEBL champion.
Other festivities include a league gala dinner and awards, a three-day family friendly street festival, tailgate parties, major concerts and of course, the first playoff action in CEBL history.
The games will be held at the SaskTel Centre, the home of the Saskatchewan Rattlers.
Said a release from the league:
“The CEBL is thrilled to be in Saskatoon, SK as the region has proven to be a leader in hosting successful events. Saskatoon was host to the highly successful 2010 IIHF World Juniors. Basketball is Canada’s second most popular sport among youth and the CEBL is hoping to engage with those youth and grown Canadian basketball.”
“The local hospitality and the top-notch basketball will ignite the excitement of Championship Weekend that will later fuel a thriving basketball community from novice to (professional).”
Tickets will be available for Championship Weekend beginning June 12th, 2019 and can be purchased directly from www.ticketmaster.ca. Fans can also download the Ticketmaster app for the widest selection of verified tickets.
