Well, WWE said it would be a historic announcement, and it truly was.
Stephanie McMahon kicked off tonight’s episode of RAW alongside Triple H and Vince McMahon. After lengthy promos from all three individuals, McMahon announced that on October 28th, WWE will host Evolution, the first all-women’s pay-per-view in the companies history. The event will be held at the Nassau Coliseum in New York.

The pay-per-view announcement comes days after WWE tweeted about a “historic announcement” to take place on this week’s RAW. Many speculated that the announcement was, in fact, about an all women’s PPV; however, there were also rumours of women’s tag team championships being debuted on RAW. It’s also now been confirmed that Evolution will host the finals of the Mae Young Classic. It’s a huge step for the women of WWE, and I couldn’t be more excited.
In addition, PWInsider.com is reporting the following Superstars will appear at the event, including two WWE Hall of Famers:
- Ronda Rousey
- Lita
- Trish Stratus
- Sasha Banks
- Alexa Bliss
- Nia Jax
- Asuka
