EDMONTON, AB: As announced across the Backbreaker Media social media channels this morning, the WCSN has reached an agreement to become the exclusive media partner of Force Pro Wrestling.
The partnership will see the WCSN continue to provide high-quality previews, reviews, interviews, and breaking news reports on the promotion while providing exclusive behind-the-scenes coverage beginning with Force Pro Wrestling: The Prelude on October 18th.
“We’re incredibly proud to partner with Force Pro Wrestling,” said WCSN president Spencer Love. “Force’s vision for presenting professional wrestling to Alberta is completely unique to the province, and we’re excited at the opportunity to provide exclusive access to the promotion and the top-notch talents within it. Force Pro Wrestling will only add to the incredible independent scene we already have here in the province, and we’re thrilled at the opportunity to continue our coverage of the entire scene as a whole.”
In addition to the WCSN’s coverage of Force Pro Wrestling, Backbreaker Media has agreed to not only produce a multi-camera show for the promotion’s new streaming service but each show to be announced in the future. With the agreement, Backbreaker Media will provide live streams of each show on Facebook Live, YouTube, and Twitch. In addition, Backbreaker owner and president Mike “the Ref” Malowany will return to the commentary table as the voice of Force Pro Wrestling.
“I am excited to get back in the game, and back on the mic,” commented Malowany on the announcement. “Looking at the talent on the FPW roster, along with some of the matchups that are scheduled for the first shows, Force Pro Wrestling is truly going to be a top promotion in Western Canada, if not Canada as a whole.”
An announcement on colour commentary will be made shortly.
In anticipation of the promotion’s first show in a year-and-a-half, a special edition of Conversations with Love will launch early next week as Spencer sits down with Force Pro Wrestling Principal Owner Tex Gaines. As well, a special edition of Over the Top Rope will launch on Friday the 18th as Spencer, Mike, and some special guests preview the return of FPW. Stay tuned to the WCSN on all social media for more information.
More details on links and where to catch Force Pro Wrestling will be available later next week. For tickets for the inaugural show “The Prelude” October 18, contact Mike at Backbreaker Media. Adult tickets are $15 in advance, children are $10.
