According to Adam Wells of Bleacher Report, the Green Bay Packers have shut down quarterback Aaron Rodgers for the remainder of the season, after being eliminated from the NFL Playoffs on Monday night following the Atlanta Falcons 24-21 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The 12-year veteran made his return to the field last week against the Carolina Panthers after breaking his collarbone back in week six against the Minnesota Vikings. Rodgers threw for 290 yards (26 for 45), three touchdowns, and three interceptions in the Packers seventh loss of the season.
With Rodgers being added to the IR, the Packers signed quarterback Joe Callahan to their 53-man roster.
