Stingers Look to Steal Their First Road Win
After a hard-fought win over the Hamilton Honey Badgers, the Edmonton Stingers look to get their first win on the road this season against the winless Fraser Valley Bandits. Tip-off this Saturday is 8 pm MST and is available on both CEBL.tv and the CBC Sports App. The next home game for the Stingers kicks off Canada Day Long Weekend, Friday, June 28, against the Niagra River Lions.
No Rest for the ‘Spects
It was a tough week for the Edmonton Prospects. After being swept by the Regina Red Sox on the Road, followed by a two-game set at home against Fort McMurray, the Prospects head out on a gruelling six-game road trip. The set includes stops in Fort McMurray (Tuesday/Wednesday), Okotoks (Thursday), and Medicine Hat (Friday-Sunday). The Prospects then return home next Monday for their annual Hooky Day against the Lethbridge Bulls. First pitch takes place at 1:05 pm. Following Monday’s game, the Prospects head to Weyburn, Saskatchewan to close out the month of June.
FC Edmonton Look to Rebound Against York 9
After failing to advance in the Canadian Club Championships against the York 9 FC, the Eddies look to take a little revenge in a league match in Ontario this Wednesday. Kickoff from York Lions Stadium Wednesday is 5 pm MST. The Eddies follow this up this Sunday as they travel to the west coast to tackle Pacific FC. Game time this Sunday from Westhills Stadium is 5 pm MST.
