A few numbers stand out when speaking about the Commonwealth Championship reign of current titleholder Shaun Moore; sitting at 352 days on top and counting at the time of this writing, Moore has spent 11 months, 2 weeks and 3 days total as champ since defeating Mo Jabari for the title last May.
Now, Moore can add another number to his resumé – a Perfect 10.

On June 22nd at PWA Night of Champions, Moore will face off against none other than Shawn Spears, formerly known as WWE Superstar Tye Dillinger.
Moore has truly become one of the standard-bearers of Canadian independent wrestling since debuting in 2014. “The Mat Messiah” has racked up an impressive set of accolades between the Prairie Wrestling Alliance and High Impact Wrestling in Saskatchewan, among others. In addition to being the current PWA Commonwealth Champion, Moore is in the midst of a 234+ day reign as HIW Canadian Grand Champion.
Since being announced as a special guest for the PWA’s Night of Champions show, speculation has run rampant over who Spears would battle in his first appearance in Alberta since requesting his release from the WWE earlier this year. Spears has an impressive resumé of his own, collecting championships in no less than 12 promotions worldwide. The 13-year veteran looks poised to be Moore’s toughest challenge yet.
There’s been no word on whether the match will be for Moore’s championship; however, the stage has been set for yet another Albertan classic.
