With the news breaking on Monday afternoon about an apparent move involving Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Junior, rumours have been swirling around about his next destination.

Rumour has it that Beckham will be holding out until his contract is extended or he gets a new deal. The Giants have come out and stated that they have no interest in trading their star wideout. Despite that, President and CEO John Mara noted that no player is untouchable, which doesn’t help the situation at all.

Beckham hasn’t played a game since week five of last season after injuring his leg against the Rams. OBJ is still one of the best receivers in the NFL, and despite his recent injury, he will be a hot commodity if the Giants do open up about trading him. The reports suggest that New York will be asking for a couple of first-round picks and more in return.

With that being said, where could Beckham land?

LA Rams

His last NFL game was against the Rams, and maybe his next one will be for the Rams. LA seems to be like the front-runners in the race for OBJ’s right, and with the moves they’ve already made this offseason, why stop now?!

Sean McVay also said, when asked about a WR “like Odell” by Peter Schrager of the NFL Network, “as long as we get enough snaps, we will be able to keep everybody happy.” An interesting response from a Head Coach who isn’t afraid to make a big splash on the big names.

On this day, you can make the argument that Beckham is the best wide receiver in the NFL. Not many, if any, play with the same about of style and flash that he does at such a high level every Sunday. The Rams haven’t made any impact signings on offence this offseason and have focused mostly on improving their defence. Coming to the Rams would likely make them the best offence in the NFL without a doubt.

It’s also worth noting that the Rams will have $100 million in cap space available to them next season, but they’ll have to sign the likes of Jared Goff, Todd Gurley, and Aaron Donald within the next couple of years.

San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers are heading into the 2018/19 season as one of the most anticipated teams to watch in the NFL. With the potential acquisition of Odell Beckham, that hype will only grow larger.

Since acquiring Jimmy Garoppolo mid-season, San Francisco has become a prized destination for NFL free agents to land; it was shown this offseason with the addition of Richard Sherman. If Beckham joined Sherman and the roster of the squad in San Fran, the 49ers could make a legitimate push to make it back to the postseason for the first time since 2013.

Garappolo has already proven himself to be one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL with Marquise Goodwin as his number one receiver. Beckham became one of the best wide receivers in the NFL with a declining Eli Manning who’s career was kept alive by OBJ the last few years. With these two superstars in the same offseason, they could become the next Joe Montana and Jerry Rice in San Francisco.

Cleveland Browns

Cleveland is sick and tired of being a bottom feeder in the NFL. The acquisitions of Jarvis Landry, Tyrod Taylor, and Carlos Hyde aren’t going to send them to the Super Bowl anytime soon, but they’re heading in the right direction. They also possess the number one and four picks in the upcoming draft which should bring in another couple of young future stars.

That trade for Jarvis Landry may prove to be one of the biggest in the history of the franchise if they can also acquire Odell Beckham. Beckham and Landry played college football together with the LSU Tigers and are still the best of friends today. The Browns wideout post on Twitter: “Come to the Browns reunite me with my brother (Odell Beckham #13 #80, and also, “WE WANT BECKHAM.” It’s safe to say Landry would be more than happy to play alongside his former teammate, again.

The Browns also have plenty of draft picks to trade away over the next couple of season to get him. It would be silly for them not to attempt to bring OBJ to the Dog Pound.

Obviously, almost every team in the NFL will be interested in this superstar. Let us know who you think Beckham could be potentially playing for next season.
