With NXT TakeOver: Phoenix in the rear-view, we begin the build for TakeOver: New York on Friday, April 5th. Who will step up to the current champions? Will we see any build towards the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic? What new signees will make their Full Sail debuts? Do horses even wear shoes? What about horse socks? Is anyone even listening to me?

This set of tapings should be split up until the next tapings, which are on February 20th. Regardless, there are plenty of exciting things coming out of this set. What could I be talking about? Why don’t we find out!

I’m Parker Love, here with your NXT Spoilers from the Jan 30th Tapings!

*This should go without saying, but spoilers ahead. However, you are on this page as well…. so…*

February 6th Episode

Luke Menzies def. Sean Maluta in the dark match of the evening.

Johnny Gargano comes out for a promo and announces that Johnny Wrestling is back. Tommaso Ciampa comes out to celebrate, but Gargano says he will never need Ciampa. Velveteen Dream comes out and says he wants a shot at the North American Title, and he will use his Worlds Collide Victory for this.

Jaxson Ryker def. Mansoor. The two other members of the Forgotten Sons say they will take the NXT Tag Team Titles.

Drew Gulak def. Bugenhagen, who is apparently very over with his air guitar/air drums/ air everything. He does an Air Guitar performance and gets another one after the next match too. After this match, Gulak calls out anyone from the back. Matt Riddle answers the challenge.

Matt Riddle def. Drew Gulak.

Io Shirai, Kairi Sane, & Bianca Belair def. The Horsewomen (Shayna Baszler, Jessamyn Duke, & Marina Shafir). Io pins Baszler, so maybe this will be the next feud?

– It’s announced that Gargano vs Dream for the North American Title will close the tapings.

February 13th Episode

Dominik Dijakovic def. Shane Thorne.

Humberto Carrillo & Stacey Ervin Jr come out for a tag match. They’re interrupted by Kassius Ohno, who comes out and “quits” the promotion. Keith Lee comes out and KOs Ohno, before telling him to not let the door hit him on the way out.

The Street Profits def. Carrillo & Ervin Jr. This was Ervin Jr’s Full Sail debut and apparently was a very fun match.

Street Profits call out War Raiders but get Marcel Barthel & Fabian Aichner instead. After a short promo, Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch follow them. War Raiders eventually come out, followed by the Undisputed ERA. War Raiders standing tall after things shockingly turn physical. I smell Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, and I can’t really complain at all!

Aliyah def. Taynara Conti, due to some interference from Vanessa Borne. The Horsewomen came out and attacked everyone.

Punishment Martinez def. Riddick Moss

Ricochet def. Adam Cole. Undisputed Era attacks Ricochet after the match – Aleister Black tries to make the save but he is taken out as well. Not surprisingly, this was a very good match and segment.

February 20th Episode

Keith Lee def. Kassius Ohno. After the match, Ohno leaves through the crowd and heads out via the parking lot. Hopefully, this “quitting” angle lasts longer than the Kevin Owens quitting angle.

Aleister Black def. Roderick Strong. Undisputed ERA attacks Black after the match, but Ricochet makes the save. Again, shockingly a good match. Strong targets the back, but Black hits the Black Mass out of nowhere for the win.

Mia Yim def. Xia Li. Again, the Horsewomen attack the two competitors. Women from the back try to make the save but they all fail

– This segment was apparently very confusing; initially, Velveteen Dream def. Johnny Gargano to win NXT North American Title. Gargano attacked Dream after the bout and stole the belt back.

However – apparently, they did the finish to this match again, where Johnny counters into the GargaNo Escape and Dream taps out. Gargano and Ciampa posed together to end the tapings.

That’s it! Personally, this is a very good set of tapings in my opinion. A few fantastic matches, some buildup for the Horsewomen, the build of the Dusty Classic, and an interesting angle for Kassius Ohno. What are your thoughts eve, yone? Let us know by tweeting us @WCSportsCA or myself personally @Parkman15Love! And thank you for reading!
