PONOKA, AB: We won’t have to wait long to find out who Matt Hart’s first challenger will be for the RCW British Commonwealth Championship.

On January 17th in Ponoka, Alberta, Hart will face off with Nasty Nate Nixon for the first time ever with the British Commonwealth title on the line.

The match marks the first time the two have faced off one-on-one.

Saturday, January 4th saw Hart finally capture the British Commonwealth Championship following a heated feud with former titleholder Vince Austin. That evening saw Hart win the title via a trademark Sharpshooter, kicking off his first reign as champion and ending Austin’s reign at 245 days.

It was announced last week that Nixon will face off with Michael Richard Blais on January 24th. However, the British Commonwealth Championship matchup on the 17th will now mark Nixon’s official debut with Real Canadian Wrestling.

Can Nixon become a champion in his first appearance for the promotion? Or, will Hart retain his long-coveted championship? Find out in Ponoka on January 17th.

Tickets for any RCW show are available through the promotion’s social media channels or their official Showpass page.

Stay tuned to the WCSN for your latest updates from Real Canadian Wrestling.
