The s***show that was Extreme Rules has come and gone, and another edition of Monday Night RAW lay before us. Superstars from the red brand who competed last evening had their paths made clear as winners and losers heading into Summerslam. With the Biggest Party of the Summer (f*** that tagline) only 5 weeks away, the card will start taking form as early as tonight.

This Week’s RAW

Right to it: Bobby Lashley pinned Roman Reigns clean. Unbelievable. I am still stunned 16 hours later. Even with the writing being on the wall, seeing Reigns lose clean as a whistle is shocking. I would have thought Gary Glitter’s “Rock and Roll Part 2” being played at a Little League game between innings would have been more likely.

Where this leads is certain. Reigns and Lashley will square off again, with the #1 Contendership to Brock Lesnar‘s Universal Championship on the line. As for when? Possibly as soon as tonight. A multi-man match, originally planned for Extreme Rules, could play out on tonight’s RAW (on which Lesnar is supposed to appear).

When Lesnar’s next defence will be is still unknown, but the threat of  Mr. Money in the Bank Braun Strowman looms. Strowman whipped the ass of Kevin Owens, despire the Prizefighter’s putting him in handcuffs. Following said handcuffing, Owens was tossed at least 15 stories from atop the steel cage, through the English announce table. With Owens’ almost certain incapacitation leaving Strowman opponentless, who is next on Mr. MITB’s list?

Champion’s Corner

Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler emphatically put down former champion Seth Rollins last night. Though it closely contested, interference from Drew McIntyre put away the Kingslayer for good. The tandem have been too much for the RAW Roster, and with former SHIELD members Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose dealing with their own problems, Rollins is alone. However, I don’t believe Rollins will be solo for long. Jason Jordan is going to return tonight. You heard it here first.

Yeah. Remember this?

RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss retained her title last night, despite interference from Ronda Rousey and Natalya. Even with foul play, Bliss has kept an iron grip on that title, though with Rousey’s suspension ending near the close of this month, are her days numbered? Who knows.

RAW General Manager Kurt Angle laid out an ultimatium for Universal Champion Brock Lesnar; appear at RAW tonight, or vacate the Universal Championship. Whether Lesnar appears or not is uncertain – Lesnar’s advocate Paul Heyman made it clear both he and the Beast thought that shit was unfair.

I’m not going to talk about the new RAW Tag Team Champions. We’re just going to leave that one alone.
