The Headlines:

Heavy Metal, Slammer set to face off at RCW 16th-Anniversary Show
Real Canadian Wrestling
  • Two true titans of the Albertan independent scene are set to square off this weekend, as Heavy Metal of Top Talent faces off with Brice “The Slammer” Sova at Saturday’s RCW 16th-Anniversary Show. Following a lengthy run with the P.W.A, the Slammer made his long-awaited return to Real Canadian Wrestling last Saturday and immediately set his sights on the longest-reigning champion in the companies’ history. Now, with Metal now set for a title shot championship opportunity of his own against the Aussie Legend on May 3rd, could this highly-touted bout potentially get even bigger? We highly recommend visiting Real Canadian Wrestling’s Facebook page for more information.
Chimera, Rhude set to face off in Hair vs. Career Match
Real Canadian Wrestling
  • After months of feuding, Sir Epic Eddie Rhude and Cody Chimera will face off on May 4th for what could be the final time. Following last Saturday’s Marie Ewaschuk Memorial Show, the two long-time rivals agreed to a Hair vs. Career match, with Rhude putting his RCW contract on the line for an opportunity to shave his opponent’s trademark locks. While having Dirty, Inc. by his side gives Chimera the numbers advantage, Rhude has found himself with some unlikely allies in past weeks. Can Rhude capitalize on his veteran experience? Or, will Chimera capitalize on the opportunity to take his rival out of the picture?
Michael Richard Blais wins HIW Grand Championship

  • In what’s being described as a 45-minute classic, God’s Gift to Wrestling Michael Richard Blais defeated Shaun Moore to capture the HIW Canadian Grand Championship on Saturday, April 27. This was the first championship victory for Blais, ending Moore’s run with the title at 239 days. Both men are set to appear at this Saturday’s PWA Mayhem in Calgary.
Taya Valkyrie def. Jordynne Grace to retain IMPACT Knockouts Championship

  • At last night’s IMPACT! Rebellion, Storm Wrestling Academy graduate Taya Valkyrie defeated number one contender Jordynne Grace to retain the Knockouts Championship. Since defeating Tessa Blanchard for the championship at IMPACT! Homecoming, the former ECCW standout has held her title for 113 days, the 10th longest reign in Knockouts history.
Kayla Jaye to make Thrash Wrestling debut
Thrash Wrestling
  • One of Alberta’s top female stars will head to BC next week, as Kayla Jaye is set to make her Thrash Wrestling debut on May 10th and 11th. The move marks the first BC appearances for Jaye.
