EDMONTON, AB - The Edmonton Stingers announced Tuesday morning that they have signed Shooting Guard Adika Peter-McNeilly.

Adika spent his college career with the Ryerson Rams, Peter-McNeilly played two professional seasons in Germany’s Basketball Bundesliga (BBL). His first season was spent with MHP Risen Ludwigsburg. In 35 games, Peter-McNeilly averaged 7.8 points 22:34 minutes per game while shooting 37% from the field. Additionally, Peter-McNeilly added 58 assists, 32 steals and 91 rebounds during that season. His team was eventually eliminated in the 2018 BBL semifinals and later finished 4th place in Europe’s Basketball Champions League. His second season was played with Mitteldeutchser BC.

Prior to his career in Germany. Adika spent all four years of his eligibility with the Ryerson Rams, where he became a U SPORTS First-Team All-Canadian, as well as Ryerson’s Male Athlete of the Year in 2016-17.

The Stingers currently sit in the middle of the pack in the CEBL standings with a 2-2 record. Edmonton has played pretty well overall to start the season. So far they’ve split with the Niagra River Lions, a loss to the Honey Badgers and a victory over the Nighthawks.

Adika is expected to provide strong minutes in the backcourt for a Stingers team that is looking to go above .500 for the first time this year since the home opener.
